FSU names interim athletic director after Michael Alford fired

Bruce Warwick has been named interim athletic director at Florida State University following the termination of Michael Alford. Warwick, who has been with the university since 2019, will oversee the athletics department and executive staff. His responsibilities will include coordinating administrative operations and collaborating with various staff members within the football program.

Warwick began his sports administration career in 1991 at Syracuse University and has held various roles in collegiate and NFL teams throughout his career. He expressed his enthusiasm about joining the Seminoles, stating that he always enjoyed football growing up, especially college football. Warwick will guide the department through the transition as Florida State conducts a national search for its permanent athletic director.
