Eno Barony, DopeNation Win Big At AFRIMMA

Eno Barony and DopeNation emerged victorious at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) held in Dallas, Texas on September 12, 2026. Eno Barony claimed the prestigious Best Female Rap Act award, while DopeNation claimed Best African Group. This marks Eno Barony's second win in the Best Female Rap Act category, with her first victory in 2020.

The awards ceremony returned after a two-year absence, recognizing over 100 artists from more than 40 African nations across 41 categories. The competition was fierce, with Eno Barony beating notable competitors such as Freda Rhymz from Ghana, Rosa Ree from Tanzania, Bombshell Grenade from Zambia, Candy Bleakz from Nigeria, Moozlie/Rouge from South Africa, Ssaru from Kenya, and Ami Yerewolo from Mali.

Eno Barony, whose real name is Ruth Eno Adjoa Amankwah Nyame Adom, is Ghana's top female rapper, known for hits like "Wats Ma Name", "Fear No Man", and "Heavy Load". She is signed to Magic Mindx Music Group. Ghana received 21 nominations at this year's AFRIMMA, with Black Sherif leading with four nominations. Other notable winners included Fally Ipupa as Artiste of the Year, Davido for Album of the Year for '5ive', Tems for Best Female West Africa, and Ruger for Best Male West Africa.
