Egypt's Sisi rejects Palestinian displacement in Abbas meeting

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi firmly rejected any plans for Palestinian displacement during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday. This stance comes after Israel's Defence Minister claimed Israel would complete its mission in Gaza and remove Palestinians from the territory. Sisi emphasized Egypt's unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their cause.

The meeting also addressed Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank, particularly the implementation of the E1 settlement plan which aims to separate northern and southern parts of the Palestinian territory. This plan has been met with international criticism and deemed an existential threat to a unified Palestinian state by the UN Secretary General.
