Disha Salian Case: Father Sends ₹500 Crore Defamation Notice To Aaditya Thackeray, Anil Deshmukh

Satish Salian, father of the late celebrity manager Disha Salian, has recently sent a Rs 500 crore defamation notice to Aaditya Thackeray, leader of the Shiv Sena (UBT), and Anil Deshmukh, former NCP (SP) leader. The legal notice was prompted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registering a fresh First Information Report (FIR) under provisions relating to murder and criminal conspiracy to re-investigate the death of Disha Salian, who died in June 2020.

The legal notice accuses Aaditya Thackeray and Anil Deshmukh of damaging Satish Salian's reputation and integrity through their public statements, which Satish claims were politically motivated, malicious, and intended to harm his political reputation. The notice also alleges that Aaditya Thackeray falsely claimed that the CBI had previously examined the case and cleared Satish Salian.

In response, Aaditya Thackeray has denied any connection to Disha Salian and called the continuous linking of his name to the case a deliberate, evidence-free attempt at character assassination driven by personal and political motives.
