College Football’s London Debut Brings Big Opportunity for Fox

College football made its debut in London on Saturday with the Kansas–Arizona State game, marking a significant opportunity for Fox to broadcast its Big Noon Kickoff pre-game show outside the United States. Fox's host, Rob Stone, expressed excitement about the new venue, stating, "Now taking it internationally for the first time ever.

You know, these guys have been all smiles for weeks." The game will be held at Wembley Stadium, where the Jayhawks and Sun Devils will compete in the inaugural Union Jack Classic. Fox's pre-game show will feature analysts Urban Meyer, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinart, and Mark Ingram II. The show will incorporate a unique British twist, including hosts on a classic London double-decker tour bus and an appearance from Gordon Ramsey.

Fox will broadcast the game at noon ET on Saturday, while FS1 airs the same matchup at the same time. This event follows a cancelled college football game in Brazil due to logistical issues. Stone believes that international exposure for college football is beneficial, noting, "College football is singularly unique to American culture, and if we're able to share that and spread some of that beautiful chaos and tradition to people—I think we're all better for it."

The Arizona State and Kansas teams traveled to London shortly after their respective games, giving themselves ample time to recover from jet lag before the inaugural Union Jack Classic.
