Bonemer, Banks make the All-Star team

Minor League Baseball has announced that two White Sox prospects, Caleb Bonemer and Max Banks, have been selected for the All-Star team in one of the leagues they played in. Bonemer, a 20-year-old infielder, is no stranger to this honor as he had previously taken home another award. Opening the season for the Winston-Salem Dash, Bonemer helped the team start off strong, posting an impressive .238/.381/.556 batting line (139 wRC+) before being promoted to Double-A.

On the other hand, Banks, a 23-year-old right-handed pitcher, also had a strong season with the Kannapolis team. He pitched impressively, allowing a 1.84 ERA and a 3.35 FIP in 58 2/3 innings. His performance was crucial for the Cannon Ballers during a rough start to the season, and he played a significant role in their rally to relevance. Banks' efforts were recognized by being selected for the Carolina League All-Star team.

In a recent game against the Norfolk Tides, the Knights fell short in a 5-2 loss. The Tides, led by their strong performance from Jonathan Cannon, who struggled to limit sharp contact, posted a 5-2 lead in the final innings. Andy Weber, 29, delivered a powerful blast, his 15th homer of the season, which drove in Mario Camilletti to help the Tides secure the lead.

The Knights, despite having a solid season overall, have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. However, the Dash won the South Atlantic Championship on Tuesday, bringing some good news for the team. Among the top performers for the Knights, Joey Wiemer, 27, had a good game with a 2-for-4 performance, while Tyler Schweitzer and Tanner McDougal contributed solid pitching performances.
