Bigfork, Polson grab volleyball wins Tuesday

In a thrilling volleyball match, the Bigfork Valkyries swept Whitefish, 3-0, on Tuesday. Raegan Waller was a standout player for Bigfork, recording 11 kills and 17 digs. Payton Despain contributed significantly to the team's success with 35 assists and two blocks, along with a total of 38 team kills. Emily Wisman added six kills to the Bigfork tally, while Lillie Suffia contributed three aces and two blocks.

Sophia Lowell added three aces to the Bigfork team's impressive performance. Whitefish did not have their stats available for the game.

The Polson Lady Pirates secured a hard-fought victory over the Columbia Falls Wildkats in a North West A volleyball match on Tuesday. Despite Columbia Falls' team efforts, Polson emerged victorious with a score of 3-1. The match concluded with scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-16, and 25-21 in favor of Polson. Notably, Columbia Falls Wildkats' Annabelle Middlesworth led the charge with 17 kills, while Peyton Ross contributed 12 kills.

Rylee Sweeney added 11 kills, and Ross also showcased her versatility with 18 digs. Jezanie Brooks had a remarkable game with 30 assists and 12 digs. Ava Scholz contributed 24 digs to the Columbia Falls team's efforts. This marked the first loss for Columbia Falls (3-1) this season, a statement made by their coach, Jolandie Brooks, who expressed determination to improve their performance moving forward.
