Next, report the issue immediately to the organizer of the package tour, either through the local tour guide, a mobile app, or email. A written record is crucial, and a call to the service hotline might also prove useful. The hotel reception alone is insufficient legally, as the organizer must have a chance to rectify the situation.

Thirdly, demand specific solutions. Clearly describe the problem, the desired solution, and set a deadline. For urgent matters like an exposed electrical wire, immediate action is necessary. However, for less critical issues, one can ask for compensation until a certain time, such as "tonight." If facing noise from construction, one might request a quieter room on the opposite side of the hotel.

Lastly, file financial claims after returning home. Depending on how long the issue persisted, travelers can seek a partial reduction of the tour price for the days affected. Each case is unique, but court rulings in tables like the Kempten or Frankfurt list provide guidance. Importantly, for package tours, the two-year statute of limitations for compensation starts from the final day of the trip.
