After Signing With a Major Label, Yes Boone Is Making Progress on His Debut Album

Yes Boone, the EDM artist and producer, is making strides as he prepares to launch his debut album under a major label deal with Warner Music and Warner Records US. Currently based in Sydney, Boone was recently shortlisted for breakthrough artist of the year at the 2026 AIR Awards in Adelaide, but the award went to Folk Bitch Trio.

However, Boone's mind is focused on other significant milestones. His first single through the new partnership is "Nosebleeds," a track he penned during a stint in London and Paris, inspired by relationships and infatuation. The song pays homage to Australian hip-hop trio Hilltop Hoods with its title, "Nosebleeds," a nod to their song "The Nosebleed Section."

At WMA’s Listen Up Showcase, Boone premiered the track, spinning a surprise set at the turntables. Dan Rosen, president of Warner Music Australasia and Southeast Asia, expressed excitement about Boone's signing, stating that the company aims to take him "to the world." Boone has honed his skills through a trip to Europe where he collaborated with various electronic music producers, drawing inspiration from French house, British post-punk energy, and a timeless sound.

Boone's debut EP, "Best I’ve Found," and the club hit "All I Really Want" have already gained traction on Australian charts, earning him a spot in the Top 20 and Top 10, respectively. The upcoming debut album will feature Boone's own vocals and is not yet assigned a release date. Boone is eager to embrace his new vocal skills and is confident in his growing comfort with singing on his own tracks.

In addition to his musical endeavors, Boone is set to perform at the Yours & Owls Festival in Wollongong on October 4, followed by appearances at festivals in Canberra, Gold Coast, Geelong, and Perth. He has aspirations to expand his reach into the United States, potentially touring after securing a writing camp invitation there.
