AEW Dynamite Results (Sept. 16, 2026) As All Out Build Continues

AEW Dynamite took place on September 16, 2026, serving as a crucial stepping stone towards the upcoming All Out pay-per-view. The event focused on a high-stakes match between Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley, who were set to face-off for the AEW World Championship at All Out. Throughout the show, various storylines unfolded, with numerous wrestlers delivering their performances.

During backstage segments, Stokely Hathaway revealed that FTR (Five Ten Rebel) would be the tag team champions after All Out. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher expressed their victory over The Young Bucks, while Don Callis proposed that they join the ladder match for tag titles at All Out. However, Hathaway stated that they would only consider the proposal after the event.

In another backstage encounter, Jon Moxley acknowledged Will Ospreay's bold and unexpected targeting of him. Moxley appreciated Ospreay's struggles and encouraged him to recognize that the belt around his waist meant he could achieve greatness, not merely follow in Moxley's footsteps. Moxley was determined that Ospreay would lead, not merely chase the championship.

Gabe Kidd speculated that they should strike Ospreay during the main event, while Pac vowed not to let Ospreay off the hook as they faced off in the main event. Chris Jericho defeated Nick Wayne in a pinfall finish, only for Wayne to attack Jericho after the match.

AEW announced that Mercedes Moné was not medically cleared for All Out, so Willow Nightingale would confront Thekla for the AEW Women's World Championship spot at WrestleDream instead. Backstage, Will Ospreay shared that United Empire had undergone numerous changes, with Andrade El Idolo joining the group after Callum Newman invited him.

In the No. 1 Contenders Match for the AEW World Trios Championship, Adam Page and Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) defeated The Conglomeration (Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Orange Cassidy) via pinfall. A video clip of Andy "The Butcher" Williams tribute episode of Collision aired, followed by Tommaso Ciampa challenging Kazuchika Okada for the AEW International Championship at All Out. Ciampa then defeated Myles Hawkins via pinfall.

Tony Schiavone welcomed Swerve Strickland, Austin Creed, and Kofi to the ring, but The Demand quickly interfered and left them lying on the mat. Jack Perry, on a mission to face AEW’s former world champions, challenged Samoa Joe to a match. Lena Kross defeated Jamie Hayter via pinfall.

A video showcasing Andrade El Idolo's background aired. Kazuchika Okada called Tommaso Ciampa a "b*tch" when asked about his challenge for the AEW International Championship. Ciampa then attacked Okada, challenging the Psycho Killer against the Rainmaker.

In the main event, the Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, and Pac) defeated Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo, and Francesco Akira by submission. Moxley declined to release the submission hold on Akira until El Idolo stepped in to save him and fought off The Death Riders. Clark Connors and David Finlay then attacked El Idolo in the corner. Moxley put a chair around Akira's head, preparing to follow up until Ospreay made the save, marking the end of the show.
