Adeleke orders 24-hour security alert, approves Joint Task Force in Osun

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has implemented heightened security measures in response to recent security alerts across the region. Following a State Security Council meeting chaired by his deputy Prince Kola Adewusi, Adeleke has mandated security agencies to remain on constant 24-hour alert. To enhance coordination and rapid response, he has approved the establishment of a Joint Security Task Force.

The task force aims to improve collaboration and intelligence sharing among various security agencies, ultimately bolstering the state's ability to address emerging security threats.

Adeleke's administration has pledged to provide the necessary logistics and support for the task force to commence operations. As part of the security enhancement, the governor has directed security agencies to maintain heightened vigilance around critical public places such as churches, mosques, schools, and other communal spaces. Additionally, Adeleke has appealed to residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any credible information to the relevant security authorities.

The governor emphasized that security is a shared responsibility, and timely information can be instrumental in saving lives. Adeleke affirmed his administration's commitment to working alongside security agencies, traditional rulers, and community leaders to safeguard lives and property throughout the state.
