Abhishek Sharma smashes fastest T20I hundred by a Full Member batter

Abhishek Sharma achieved the fastest century in a full-member T20 international, scoring 108 runs off just 34 balls against Afghanistan in India's 3rd T20 match in Delhi. The 30-ball century was the third-fastest in all T20 internationals and the joint fifth-fastest in all T20s. Opener Abhishek, who had fallen out of the T20 batting rankings in July, smashed nine fours and 11 sixes to reach his milestone in just the ninth over.

His exceptional scoring rate included nine fours and 11 sixes, with only a single and two boundaries in the previous over and third respectively. This century not only topped the fastest T20 international centuries between full-member nations but also surpassed Finn Allen's previous fastest century by New Zealand's Finn Allen. Despite reaching his hundred in the ninth over, Abhishek's innings came to an end due to being caught behind off Rashid Khan after India took a commanding lead in the powerplay.
