2 Cheaper-Than-Alto Electric Cars are Launching in Pakistan

Nora is set to introduce two new electric vehicles to the Pakistani market: the Nora NEO and Nora METRO. Initially scheduled for unveiling during PAPS 2026 from September 18 to 20 in Lahore, shipping delays have pushed the launch to a tentative date around September 20 or later. Both vehicles fall under the L7-category quadricycle classification, similar to the existing Nora EV but larger and more powerful. The METRO is notably bigger than the Suzuki Swift, while the NEO remains larger than the current Nora EV.

Images of the vehicles reveal their sizes and designs. The METRO boasts a larger five-door body, resembling a compact hatchback more than a conventional small quadricycle. Meanwhile, the NEO features a smaller five-door design, although it is still considerably larger than the existing Nora EV. Both cars will offer a claimed range of 250-300 km on a single charge, with a maximum speed of 70 km/h.

They will be powered by a 4 kW motor and a 23.1 kWh LFP battery, with a charging time of 6-8 hours. The vehicles will have a 10-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, power windows, keyless entry, push-button start, four-wheel disc brakes, an electronic parking brake, reversing camera, central locking, heater, USB port, and a right-hand drive configuration.

Their listed price is expected to be below Rs. 3 million, making them affordable options for urban use in Pakistan.
