Your Google Home widgets will now eat up less of your battery life

Google Home app widgets will now consume less battery when your phone's screen is turned off, according to recent updates. Several improvements are being rolled out, including smoother multi-account switching, reduced interruptions in Live Mode, and fixes for Voice Match reliability issues. Google Home Model Context Protocol (MCP) is also starting its early access rollout. While users wait for the solution to the Voice Match problem, these updates should alleviate some of the battery drain concerns.
