Wisconsin men's basketball's full 2026-27 Big Ten schedule unveiled

The 2026-27 Big Ten schedule for Wisconsin men’s basketball has been officially released, with the Badgers facing several challenges throughout the season. Their first game against Purdue at the Kohl Center on December 8th will be an early test, followed by a trip to Northwestern on November 1st. The Badgers will close their regular season with a road game against Michigan State in March.

UW coach Greg Gard views the end-of-season challenge as a compliment, stating that it provides insight into how respected the program is.

Between the Purdue and Michigan State games, Wisconsin will face tough competition from Iowa, Illinois, and Nebraska - all teams that made it to the Sweet 16 or farther in the previous year. They will also play back-to-back games against Illinois and Iowa in January. During this month, Wisconsin will host four of their 10 home games, five of which fall on either a Friday or a Saturday. The schedule is otherwise balanced with one home game in December, four in January, four in February, and one in March.

Notable games include a November 10th matchup against Fairfield, a December 1st trip to Northwestern, and a December 20th game against Villanova as part of the Philly Hoops Showdown. Wisconsin will also play three games in the Big Ten tournament held in Indianapolis from March 3rd to March 14th.
