Watch Sidharth Malhotra take on a forest full of dark forces in the new Vvaan trailer

The newly released trailer for Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia's upcoming supernatural thriller, Vvaan: Force of the Forest, offers a vivid glimpse into their roles as a reluctant hero and a mystical woman, respectively. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, the film is set to hit theaters on September 25.

At its core, the story revolves around a forest governed by dark forces known as the Bhuttakas, bound to the woods by an ancient warning: anyone who enters after nightfall never returns. The trailer kicks off by depicting this ominous atmosphere, before introducing the protagonists - Sidharth and Tamannaah - as a married couple living an ordinary life in Mumbai. Their return to the village for Chhath Puja sets them back on a path that intertwines with the legend.

Once back in the village, the trailer transitions to its central conflict, with Sunil Grover's character attempting to convince locals to clear land for construction by felling trees in the Vvaan Devi forest. This prompts resistance from several villagers, setting up a clash between the forest's spiritual value and the push for modernization. This tension between progress and preservation becomes a central theme throughout the trailer.

Despite being explicitly warned against it, Sidharth's character ventures into the forest at night, where he gets injured and experiences a past-life revelation - suggesting he was meant to protect this same forest in a previous existence. This revelation leads to direct confrontations, as he battles goons to defend the forest and its traditions.

Tamannaah, speaking at the film's release event on Prime Video, expressed her excitement about working with Sidharth, praising his acting capabilities. She also highlighted the film's emotional resonance, noting that she has rarely encountered a script that she loved and felt so strongly about. Vvaan: Force of the Forest marks Sidharth Malhotra's next major film after Param Sundari, and it reunites him with Janhvi Kapoor.

The film stars Shweta Tiwari, Maniesh Paul, and Anup Soni alongside the lead pair. Directed by Deepak Mishra, written by Arunabh Kumar, and cinematically crafted by Manu Anand, the movie is set to open in theaters on September 25.
