Wardogs Outpacing Arc Raiders and Helldivers 2 on Steam and Has Already Made More Money Than Marathon Across All Platforms to Date, Analysis Shows

Bulkhead Interactive's tactical first-person shooter, Wardogs, is outpacing Arc Raiders and Helldivers 2 on Steam in terms of sales, according to new data. The game, which launched in early access on Steam on September 10, has sold 2.2 million copies on the platform, surpassing the sales of Arc Raiders (1.7 million) and Helldivers 2 (1 million).

Wardogs generated approximately $70 million in revenue on Steam alone, making it the highest-grossing game on the platform so far, even outpacing Bungie's Marathon, which has only managed $60 million in revenue across PC and console. Bulkhead announced 2 million sales after just five days, and the game reached a peak of 428,666 concurrent players shortly after its release, becoming one of the most-played games on Steam.

While Wardogs still has a long way to go to match the long-term sales of Arc Raiders and Helldivers 2, it has already proven to be a huge success. The game's boss, Joe Brammer, stated that they do not want to be in Early Access for an extended period and hinted at a console version planned for 2028. Wardogs' growth story is far from over, as the game enters the next phase of development with Season 2 bringing "lots of new content and changes."
