Uttar Pradesh: Sports Department To Showcase Sporting Talent, Infrastructure At UP International Trade Show 2026

Lucknow, September 16, 2026: Uttar Pradesh's Sports Department will unveil its impressive sporting achievements and infrastructure at the upcoming UP International Trade Show 4.0, set to take place from September 25 to 29 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. This marks the first time the state's sports department will participate in such an international exhibition.

A dedicated pavilion spanning nearly 200 square meters will be prepared by the department, showcasing the state's accomplishments, sporting talent, modern facilities, and future plans.

Four wings of the Uttar Pradesh government's Sports Department will collaborate in the pavilion, including the Directorate of Sports, Prantiya Rakshak Dal, Department of Youth Welfare, Sports Colleges, and the Sports University being developed in Meerut. Special Secretary Kumar Vineet will serve as the event's central coordinator, while a departmental coordinator will oversee its preparations.

The pavilion will highlight the achievements of both national and international athletes from Uttar Pradesh through videos, photographs, and related materials. Visitors will also be introduced to the state's modern sports infrastructure, including facilities being built in Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Kanpur, and the Sports University in Meerut. Three-dimensional models of these projects and a documentary on the state's sports infrastructure will be featured.

In addition to exhibitions, the pavilion will offer interactive experiences, such as a gaming zone with sports-related games and a presentation focusing on engaging Gen-Z with sports through positive energy. The aim is to inspire young people to see sports as a path to a healthier, disciplined lifestyle, not just a competition. The department also plans to showcase the use of AI in the sports sector, including its potential for athlete management and improving sports activities through technology.
