Up to 100,000 NK workers sent abroad, some involved in Russian drone production: report

A Russian drone discovered Monday off the coast of Poland was found to be carrying a warhead equipped with a detonator, according to prosecutors handling the case. The Polish military located and retrieved the drone from the Baltic Sea near Rusinowo beach on Monday. The aircraft, identified as the Russian Gerbera 2, was neutralized on the beach and subsequently transported for further examination.

Colonel Bartosz Okoniewski, deputy regional prosecutor for military affairs in Poznań, stated during a televised briefing on Wednesday that the drone contained a "high-explosive fragmentation warhead fitted with a fuze." The investigators have yet to officially determine the drone's launch point, entry into the sea, or mission objectives.

Lt Col Jacek Goryszewski, spokesperson for the Operational Command, suggested that the drone likely drifted from international waters into Poland's territorial waters. The incident follows a series of escalating tensions between Russia and European nations. On Tuesday, NATO jets intercepted and shot down a drone entering Lithuanian airspace, while a Russian frigate reportedly fired flares at a Danish military helicopter.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned on Sunday that "the coming weeks and months will be a period of very intense Russian activity," emphasizing that the escalation of Russian actions is becoming a reality, with examples growing closer to their border.
