UAE and Syrian Presidents discuss strengthening bilateral ties

Abu Dhabi: During his visit to the UAE for the 24th Arab Media Summit, Syria's President Ahmad Al-Sharaa met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They focused on bolstering bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation, particularly in economic and development sectors to benefit both nations and their peoples. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to advancing UAE-Syria relations, aligning with shared development priorities and a prosperous future for their respective populations.

They acknowledged the significance of a recent UAE economic delegation's visit to Syria for deepening cooperation and creating frameworks that support economic recovery and strategic projects through mutually beneficial partnerships. The discussion also covered the Arab Media Summit and its primary agenda topics. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude to Al-Sharaa for accepting the summit invitation.

The leaders exchanged perspectives on regional and international matters, including developments in the Middle East and their impact on regional security and stability. They stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international security to promote global wellbeing and development. Joined by high-ranking UAE officials, including the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Al-Sharaa concluded his visit to the UAE, departing for Syria afterward and receiving a farewell at the airport from Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other officials.
