U.S. trade commission institutes probe into Samsung, Apple, Google following patent infringement claims

The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into Samsung Electronics Co., Apple, and Google, alleging patent infringement involving electronic devices with specific audio technologies, according to a complaint filed by BoomCloud 360 Inc., a California-based company. The complaint was filed last month, claiming that Samsung, Apple, and Google's devices with certain audio technologies infringe on three patents asserted by BoomCloud 360 Inc. BoomCloud 360 Inc. has requested the commission to issue an order to ban the importation, sale, and distribution of the products in question within the United States.

Samsung, Apple, and Google are required to respond to the complaint within 20 days of receiving the notice of investigation.
