Texas A&M rises six spots in ESPN's CFB Power Rankings after Week 2

This climb was largely due to two crucial fourth-quarter defensive touchdowns by sophomore Edge Marco Jones and senior cornerback Julio Humphrey.

Despite quarterback Marcel Reed's modest 163 passing yards and three touchdowns, Texas A&M's defense took control, allowing only four turnovers for the Sun Devils. Freshman running backs KJ Edwards and Carsyn Baker could see increased opportunities as the offensive line works on its game. Texas A&M faces a Kentucky team ranked 108th against the run, presenting a challenge for their ground game.
