Stray Kids becomes 1st K-pop act to headline Rock in Rio

K-pop sensation Stray Kids achieved a groundbreaking milestone as the inaugural K-pop act to headline the prestigious Rock in Rio, one of the world's largest music festivals. The eight-member group wowed an audience of approximately 100,000 people at the festival's main stage, Palco Mundo, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Rock in Rio, established in 1985, has previously showcased legendary acts like Queen and Guns N' Roses but had never before welcomed a K-pop headliner.

Billboard commended the performance as a remarkable debut, stating that Stray Kids' show met the high expectations of South American fans and marked a new era for K-pop at the festival. The group, adorned in attire inspired by traditional Korean fashion, delivered a series of hit songs while engaging with the crowd throughout the set. Their talent was further showcased through impressive performances, including the incorporation of samba steps in the song "Chk Chk Boom" as a nod to Brazilian culture.
