Stray dogs turn parked cars into their personal beds

PHETCHABUN — On 16 September 2026, a group of stray dogs have been causing confusion among car owners at a public parking area in Lom Sak district. The dogs repeatedly climb onto parked vehicles to nap on their roofs, a sight that has left many scratching their heads. A Facebook user visiting the Tai Lom Walking Street shared photos and video of the dogs, warning motorists to be cautious when parking in the area near the Lom Sak Police Station.

One photo showed a black car with muddy paw prints across its windshield and roof, while another displayed several dogs lying on the roofs of parked cars, including white and black sedans. Local resident Chinnakorn, who owns a made-to-order food shop near the parking area, confirmed that around five or six stray dogs frequently visit the area, climbing onto car roofs during the day and sleeping underneath parked vehicles on other days.

Despite attempts to chase the dogs away, they seem to return and continue their unusual behavior. It is currently unknown if the dogs have caused any damage to the cars, and motorists are advised to check their vehicles thoroughly before leaving, looking for signs of the dogs' presence such as muddy paw prints, scratches, or other damage.
