Philips Hue Bridge Pro is now $139, with even bigger price hikes globally

The Philips Hue Bridge Pro, a significant upgrade for smart home lighting, has seen a substantial price increase worldwide. Initially released in the US at $99 last year, the price has now surged to $139 across various retailers, including the Hue Shop and Amazon. This represents a 40% price hike that likely coincided with the mid to late August launch. The reason behind the price increase is reportedly due to the rising costs of memory, as the Bridge Pro model comes equipped with 8GB of RAM.

The price hike is not limited to the US market. According to the Hue Blog, European customers have also faced a significant price increase. The price has risen from an initial cost of €89 to the current price of €149. This escalation appears to have just begun across Europe, with some retailers still not displaying the updated pricing.

Additionally, other Hue products have also experienced a price increase in Europe, ranging from €10 to €20 per item. For instance, the Hue Essential bulb 4-pack, which was initially priced at €59, is now €69.
