Pertemuan dengan Sanusi positif, beri bayangan awal kerjasama Umno-PAS Kedah, kata Mahdzir

Kedah Umno Secretary Mahdzir Khalid revealed a positive outlook following an informal meeting with PAS' Kedah Menteri Besar Sanusi Nor on the previous day. (Facebook Photo) The meeting, which took place today, hinted at the potential for cooperation between Umno and PAS, Mahdzir stated in a statement. However, the Kedah Umno head emphasized there was no discussion on the distribution of parliamentary seats since the matter was still too early.

The informal meet-up was noted as a positive one, with Mahdzir predicting more serious discussions at higher levels in the future. During the meeting, Mahdzir was accompanied by Umno Kedah Deputy Secretary Ariffin Man, Kedah Umno President Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah and Kedah Jerlun President Othman Aziz. The outcome of the meeting will be communicated to the highest echelons of Umno before subsequent steps are planned.

"Whatever decision is taken, it will be decided at the highest level of both parties," Mahdzir added. Earlier, Sanusi had commented that the meeting with Kedah Umno would not discuss the allocation of parliamentary seats, as it could only be decided by PAS at the national level, not at the state level.
