The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has pledged to swiftly resolve the issue of pending 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results, ensuring candidates can meet university admission deadlines. This promise comes after parents and candidates expressed concerns over the delays in obtaining their full results, raising fears that the situation might jeopardize their chances of gaining admission to tertiary institutions this year.
The 2026 WASSCE results were initially released on September 6, but some students discovered that one or more of their subject results remained pending, despite the Council not cancelling or withholding them.
