OU baseball names new performance center after Toby Keith

Oklahoma University's baseball team has announced the naming of a new performance center at the team's stadium, christened the Toby Keith Family Performance Center. This decision was made by the Board of Regents on Tuesday evening. The facility is part of a $49 million renovation and expansion project for Kimrey Family Stadium.

Toby Keith, the country music star who passed away in 2024 after battling cancer, was a significant supporter of Oklahoma Baseball. OU baseball coach Skip Johnson expressed his gratitude for Keith's support, praising his unwavering dedication to the team, the University of Oklahoma, and the state of Oklahoma.

The new performance center, scheduled for completion in spring 2028, is set to enhance the player development aspect of the sport. It will come alongside significant upgrades to the stadium, including improvements to the seating bowl and fan amenities like new concessions, restrooms, and a dedicated fan plaza.
