Opare Addo explores Ghana-UAE partnership to advance youth development

Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment George Opare Addo has engaged in talks with the Director General of the Federal Youth Authority of the United Arab Emirates, Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi. The discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Ghana and the UAE in the realm of youth development. The meeting occurred during the International Festival of Youth in Russia, where both sides shared insights on youth policy, innovation, empowerment, and institutional development.

Opare Addo expressed that the interaction offered Ghana and the UAE an opportunity to explore areas of mutual learning and collaboration, aiming to enhance prospects for young people. "Our meeting with Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Federal Youth Authority of the United Arab Emirates, was a valuable engagement for our delegation," he stated.

The discussions also centered on potential partnerships that could generate significant opportunities for young individuals while bolstering youth-focused institutions in both countries.

Opare Addo emphasized Ghana's ongoing interest in learning from international experiences and establishing partnerships that would support the development and empowerment of the youth. This engagement is part of Ghana's involvement in the International Festival of Youth in Russia, an event that has gathered young people and youth-focused institutions from various nations.
