Olu Jacobs: Moment Emeka Ike broke down in tears [VIDEO]

Nollywood actor Emeka Ike was captured on video breaking down in tears upon learning of the death of fellow Nollywood legend, Olu Jacobs. Jacobs, a respected figure in the Nigerian movie industry, passed away at the age of 84 on September 16, 2026, after battling dementia with Lewy bodies, DLB. In the video circulating on social media, Ike appeared visibly distressed as he sobbed over the loss of the veteran actor.

When asked if he had seen Jacobs before his death, Ike responded, "I’ve not seen him till he died." Jacobs' death has left Nigerians and members of the Nollywood industry in deep mourning, with many expressing sorrow over the loss of the beloved actor. Widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of Nollywood, Jacobs made significant contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian film industry.
