nixamp 0.17: a room with a door, a ticket and a login

Nixamp 0.17, version 0.17.1, has been released with several significant updates. The platform now serves as an OAuth 2.1 authorization server, offering various scopes including profile, email, parties, and offline_access. It requires the use of PKCE with S256 on every request, enhancing security measures.

Sign-in with Nixamp is now readily available on nixamp.com, and the metadata can be accessed at https://nixamp.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. The access token provided is an ordinary nixamp nxa_ token with the client's name on it, replacing the previous requirement for explicit and password grants.

Watch parties, a feature common to bittorrented.com, have been integrated into Nixamp. Users can now sign in with Nixamp, connect under Settings, Connections on bittorrented.com, and join parties that appear as rooms under their own Nixamp account. The film remains on bittorrented, while Nixamp carries the room, chat, and playback position.

An event can now be categorized as a talk, class, or concert, with concerts having an artist role and an encore as a separate state. Tickets function as a paid pass to a specific room, with the payment addressed to the event's own payTo address. Live shows have new features, including different kinds and the ability to handle tickets and payment differently.

In terms of media support, Nixamp can now handle 4K .ts files directly, copying H.264 content as needed. This advancement eliminates the need for re-encoding, allowing for smoother playback at higher resolutions. These updates collectively enhance Nixamp's functionality and user experience.
