Nets sign then waive Dwight Murray Jr., Isaiah Wong before camp

The Brooklyn Nets, on the verge of commencing their 2026-27 NBA season, have made a series of roster adjustments involving guards Dwight Murray Jr. and Isaiah Wong. The team has filled all 18 positions with standard and Two-Way contracts, yet they are still in the process of fine-tuning their squad ahead of camp. On Tuesday, the Nets announced the signing and subsequent waiving of Murray and Wong.

Murray, 26, is a college graduate from Incarnate Word and Rider, who played in the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League for the Nets this summer. His statistics included 8.0 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game, with a field goal percentage of 41.7% and three-point field goal percentage of 50%. Wong, 25, was the 55th pick overall in the 2023 NBA Draft after a four-year career at the University of Miami.

He played for the Indiana Pacers and Charlotte Hornets during his first two NBA seasons before joining Dreamland Gran Canaria in Spain. The Nets have granted Murray and Wong two-way contracts, granting them the opportunity to earn bonuses up to $91,000 in addition to their G League salaries if they commit to spending at least 60 days at the Long Island facility.
