Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper Awaits Route Clarity: Solapur Or Hubballi?

The Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper sleeper train is awaiting a decision on its route between Solapur and Hubballi. The Railway Board has yet to choose between these two routes, which will ultimately determine the train's distance, journey time, and the stations it will cover. The Solapur route is shorter and has the potential for a faster journey, while the Hubballi route would cover more cities, although it would be longer.

A recently assigned Vande Bharat Sleeper rake, which was transferred from South Western Railway (SWR) to Northern Railway (NR), has fueled speculation that the rake intended for the Mumbai-Bengaluru service may have been shifted. However, railway officials have not confirmed this transfer. The proposed service has the potential to significantly improve overnight connectivity between Mumbai and Bengaluru, currently provided by the Udyan Express, which takes about 22 hours to complete the journey.

The actual time-saving will depend on the final route and timetable. The Railway Board is expected to issue the final timetable and operational date only after it takes a decision on the route and service pattern. Until then, the operational plan for the Vande Bharat Sleeper remains undetermined, leaving passengers eagerly awaiting the final decision.
