Mr Macaroni reveals why he won’t go into politics

Nigerian comedian Mr Macaroni has shared his reluctance to enter politics, citing the corruption that often plagues the country's political landscape. In a recent viral video, he expressed his concerns about the impact of politics on respected individuals and the backlash that often follows those who advocate for Nigerians. Mr Macaroni noted that people who speak up for their fellow citizens can quickly find themselves criticized by the very same individuals they aim to represent, adding that the same Nigerians they seek to support often turn against them.

He also lamented the tendency of politicians to tarnish their own legacies once they enter the political arena. Mr Macaroni pointed to examples of respected individuals who, upon entering politics, have damaged their previously commendable reputations. In addition to his concerns about the political space, Mr Macaroni criticized Nigerians for their short-lived outrage over economic issues, such as fuel prices.

He argued that while Nigerians vocally express their anger, they quickly move on to other matters without addressing the root of the problem. Lastly, he questioned why Nigerians take pride in their ability to endure hardship, stating that being able to survive in Nigeria should not be considered an impressive feat.
