Central College seniors Jack Brown, William Wadsley, and freshman Isaac Rankin were closely matched in their performances at the Central College 6K Dutch Invite. Wadsley edged Brown by 6.1 seconds at the season-opening race, while Rankin trailed by 9.8 seconds. At the Les Duke Invite in Grinnell, Brown secured the 8K title by beating Wadsley and ex-Knoxville runner Rankin, while Rankin finished in 26:00.9. Central College dominated the team title with 16 points, just one behind a perfect score.
