Hello fellow hackers! If your Raspberry Pi is acting up, you've come to the right place. I, Maria, work with Major League Hacking and we get a lot of questions about debugging. To help, we've put together a comprehensive guide called "Midnight Rescue: The Ultimate Raspberry Pi Hackathon Revival Guide ๐Ÿš€". This guide will walk you through the steps to get your Raspberry Pi back up and running, even if it's giving you a hard time.

First, make sure you've grabbed the Hardware Labโ€™s Troubleshooting Kit. Inside, you'll find a 7-inch portable screen, a mini Bluetooth/Wireless keyboard, a USB MicroSD card reader/writer, and fresh spare MicroSD cards. We'll use these tools in two main phases: Direct Hardware Diagnostics and SD Card Re-Flashing.

Phase 1 is all about Direct Visual Diagnostics using the kit. Plug in the HDMI cable, turn on the screen and keyboard, and power up the Pi. Watch the screen closely for any clues about what's wrong. If you see a rainbow screen or red LED, the Pi can't read the SD card at all. If you see kernel panic or endless errors scrolling past, the OS on the SD card is corrupted. If the OS is alive and asks for login, try the default credentials first.

Phase 2 is a nuclear option where we wipe and re-flash the MicroSD card. Grab a spare MicroSD card from the kit or use your current one. Format and wipe the card, then flash the operating system using Raspberry Pi Imager or similar software. This process takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Once you've got a fresh OS and SSH enabled, you can connect to your Pi via Ethernet or SSH. Option A is the fastest - just leave the 7-inch screen and mini keyboard plugged into the Pi and log in with default credentials. Option B involves connecting an Ethernet cable to your computer and running the SSH command.
