Life is too short to spend proving your worth –Nadia Buari advises

Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has emphasized the significance of self-worth and surrounding oneself with people who truly appreciate one's value in a recent post on X. In the message, the award-winning artist advised against dedicating a lifetime to proving one's worth to those who consistently fail to comprehend or appreciate them. According to Ms. Buari, life is too brief to be spent "proving your worth to people who are committed to misunderstanding you".

The actress further urged her followers to sever ties with situations that no longer benefit them, urging them to "stop watering dead plants. Stop knocking on doors that are already shut". Instead, she encouraged people to invest their energy in discovering spaces and relationships where they are understood and appreciated. "Find the rooms where the lighting suits you. Find the people who speak your language", she advised.

Ms. Buari concluded her post by promoting self-love and the need to select people who value one's worth. "Choose who chooses you," she concluded, asserting that being in an environment where one is celebrated can result in a life that is not just endured, but enjoyed.

Nadia Buari, who studied Performing Arts at the University of Ghana and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), made her acting debut on Ghanaian national television with the TV series 'Games People Play' in late 2005.
