Karlyn Pickens debuts in 2026 Women's Softball World Cup

On September 12, Team USA began their participation in the Women's Softball World Cup with a decisive 11-0 win over Mexico at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Assistant coach Aubrey Leach contributed significantly, going 1-for-1 with a solitary double, a run, and an RBI. The team then continued their winning streak by defeating Brazil 17-0 in just four innings on Sunday.

Former Tennessee pitcher Karlyn Pickens made her debut in the tournament and played a crucial role in the team's success. She made her first appearance and delivered a complete game, pitching five innings with remarkable precision. Pickens allowed only one hit and recorded an impressive 10 strikeouts. Her 48 pitches included 38 strikes, showcasing her control and dominance on the mound.
