Kaduna APC Condemns Violence, Wants Police To Probe Attacks

The Kaduna State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its disapproval of recent attacks against its members and the destruction of party facilities, as well as the intimidation of its supporters across the region. In a statement released by its Public Relations Officer, Sani Dan Azare, the party demanded that the Nigeria Police Force and relevant security agencies conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the reported incidents, identify the circumstances surrounding them, and take appropriate action against those found responsible based on credible evidence and in line with the law.

Dan Azare highlighted that multiple claims and allegations have surfaced in relation to these events, urging security forces to independently examine every credible lead and all relevant evidence presented to them. He emphasized that Kaduna State has achieved considerable progress in overcoming political, ethnic, and religious tensions that once jeopardized its stability, and these accomplishments should not be jeopardized by violence, intimidation, vandalism, or any other unlawful activities.

The statement reaffirmed the APC's dedication to peaceful, lawful, and fact-based political engagement and appealed to all political parties, candidates, and supporters to behave responsibly and in accordance with the law. The party encouraged its members and support groups in Kaduna State to remain composed, exercise maximum restraint, and refrain from retaliation or self-help.

Azare cautioned that "no political contest is greater than the peace and security of Kaduna State" and urged the establishment of facts, adherence to due process, and the application of the law.
