IGP Disu: Changing the Narrative

Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu welcomed officers from the Nigeria Police Force’s Special Intervention Squad, who participated in rescuing abducted schoolchildren. IGP Disu's actions demonstrate that every police officer counts, whether a Commissioner of Police or a young constable.

The government should support families of fallen officers through insurance benefits, scholarships for their children, and support for their spouses. Naming police facilities after these officers would also show appreciation for their courage.
