Gurugram hit-and-run case: Victim says Bainsla’s arrest not enough, demands strict action

Biker Sia, the victim of a hit-and-run incident in Gurugram, emphasized that the arrest of Kalyan Bainsla is not sufficient and called for strict action against him and the other individuals present in the car at the time of the incident. Speaking to the media, Sia, 27, rejected comments made by Bainsla's cousin Kamal who claimed she was playing the victim.

Sia stated that if Bainsla is granted bail within three days, it will not be deemed as strict action. "There were two other people in the car. They should also be arrested and punished. Otherwise, such incidents will continue to occur," she said. Bainsla, 33, and his cousin Lavneesh, 34, were apprehended on Tuesday following a two-day search in Rajgarh, Rajasthan, near Gurugram.

Kamal had previously stated that Bainsla was innocent and accused the victim of playing the victim card. Sia, who has a history of contesting municipal elections, emphasized that she will not relent in her pursuit for justice. She provided a detailed account of the incident, stating that an attempt was made on her life and she faced the risk of death.

Injured, Sia requested for further medical tests to ascertain the extent of her injuries. After his arrest, Bainsla attempted to evade police custody claiming he needed to urinate, but was subdued and given medical attention. Both accused were produced in the city court following their arrest. The Gurugram Police have booked Bainsla under an attempt-to-murder charge based on video evidence and CCTV footage.
