Guest Faculty ‘Fall-Out’ Process Will Not Be Rolled Back, Says Madhya Pradesh Minister Inder Singh Parmar

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Higher education minister Inder Singh Parmar has stated that the fall-out process of guest faculty will not be reversed. Guest faculty members who have been staging a protest outside Parmar's Bhopal residence since Tuesday met with the minister on Wednesday morning. The faculty members informed Parmar that the minister firmly asserted the fall-out process would remain in effect.

During the meeting, Parmar reportedly told the faculty that they could contest an election against him if they wished, but emphasized that the fall-out process would not be halted. The fall-out process involves the displacement of a guest faculty member when a regular faculty member is appointed or transferred to the same position.

The protesting faculty had also blocked Union agriculture minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's convoy on Wednesday morning, demanding his intervention in their ongoing issues, particularly regarding the fall-out process. Guest faculty member Rakesh Kumar Singh explained to Chouhan that a promise made by a previous chief minister should be honored by the next chief minister.
