General : KDN Vows To Dismantle Foreign Worker Pass Syndicate At The Root

The Home Ministry (KDN) has vowed to eliminate foreign worker fraud syndicates "at the root" with zero tolerance, according to Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. The KDN is shifting from a defensive stance to an aggressive approach to dismantle the syndicates' operations, with the Immigration Department (JIM) leading the charge.

Saifuddin emphasized that KDN's leadership is committed to using administrative power boldly to protect national security. This resolve was demonstrated in a recent operation on September 14 in Kuala Lumpur's Jalan Chan Sow Lin commercial area, where 11 premises were simultaneously raided, resulting in the detention of 30 foreign nationals, including 11 suspected masterminds from Bangladesh.

During the operation, authorities seized 18 laptops, 21 printers and scanners, three mobile phones, and 10 Bangladeshi international passports, along with fake electronic Temporary Employment Visit Passes (e-PLKS) and fake police reports. The syndicates allegedly sold the e-PLKS for RM150 each and the fake police reports for RM70 each.

Saifuddin stressed that these activities not only compromised the immigration administration system but also posed a threat to public safety and facilitated illegal foreign entry. He reiterated that the Madani Government is dedicated to maintaining a clean immigration system, tightening controls at entry points, and safeguarding the local job market from exploitation by illegal syndicates.

Saifuddin warned that Malaysia is not a playground for criminals, and anyone involved in breaking the law, forging documents, or engaging in illegal activities will be pursued, arrested, and held accountable. He affirmed that KDN will continue its crackdown on document forgers to protect the country's sovereignty.
