Gable Steveson is confident that Jon Jones is considering a return to the UFC following Tom Aspinall's exit from the heavyweight title. Aspinall vacated the title after suffering another setback in training, which will keep him out for the foreseeable future. Jones initially unretired after the UFC White House event was announced but has not fought since.

Gable shared that he called Jones to discuss a possible comeback and that Jones expressed interest in potentially stepping back into the octagon. Steveson, who trains alongside Jones, believes Aspinall's legacy will make way for new talent to shine. He hopes that Josh Hokit will be given the first opportunity to face the new champion, Ciryl Gane, if Jones does return.

Steveson himself hopes to earn a title shot within the next year and a half, acknowledging his competitive spirit and experience in various sports.
