Fernandez signs new London City contract

London City Lionesses defender Jana Fernandez has inked a new contract, committing to the club until 2029. The 24-year-old joined London City from Barcelona a year ago and has since become an integral part of the team. Fernandez played in every Women’s Super League match last season, contributing significantly as they secured a sixth-place finish in their debut top-flight campaign.

Her performances at right-back earned her the fans' votes for club player of the season. Fernandez expressed her delight at signing a new contract with London City, stating her excitement for the future and her feeling of belonging at the club. Fernandez, who has previously won five league titles and three Champions League trophies with Barcelona, also represented Spain in the Euro 2025 tournament, finishing as runners-up to England.
