F1 releases 2027 schedule with new races and 10 sprints

Formula 1 has announced the 2027 season schedule, which includes both new races and a record ten F1 Sprint weekends. The calendar features the return of Portugal and Türkiye, as well as increased Sprint events at Bahrain, Australia, Japan, Monaco, and Abu Dhabi. The Monaco Grand Prix will host an F1 Sprint race for the first time, making television viewership during Sprint weekends 12% higher than regular weekends.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem praised the schedule for combining tradition, innovation, and fan engagement while maintaining high sporting standards. Formula 1 President Stefano Domenicali expressed excitement about the inclusion of iconic circuits and cities worldwide, with ten Sprint events to provide more intensity and drama for fans.
