‘Every minute important’: Inside the fast-track court racing to try NEET leak case

Over the past 40 days, Judge Ajay Gupta has been presiding over one of India's most high-profile examination paper leak cases at a rapid pace, barely leaving room for any delays. Each working day at 10 am, Judge Gupta appears in the Fast Track Special Court at Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court to hear arguments against the 13 accused in the NEET-UG paper leak case.

Following the filing of the chargesheet, preliminary arguments and a series of interim applications have been heard in quick succession, with Judge Gupta frequently urging lawyers to arrive punctually. On Monday, a request to postpone arguments was made, citing an ongoing investigation. Judge Gupta responded, emphasizing the importance of the court's time by stating, "Time is very precious. We can continue the hearing all day if necessary."
