Ed Sheeran speaks out on dropping Macklemore from tour, says it was promoters' decision

Ed Sheeran's North and South American tour has been disrupted after promoter Robert Kraft removed Macklemore from the lineup due to the rapper's pro-Palestinian comments during a New Jersey concert. Following Macklemore's removal, several other supporting acts have also dropped out of the tour. These acts include Irish band Lukas Graham, Irish singer Aaron Rowe, American singer Finneas, and folk group Beoga.

The decision to drop Macklemore was reportedly made by Kraft, who owns Gillette Stadium where Sheeran is scheduled to perform later this month. Sheeran has stated that the decision was made by the promoter and not himself, emphasizing that he would not abandon his fans or touring crew. While Macklemore has expressed his own views on the Gaza conflict, Sheeran has not commented on the matter since the supporting acts left the tour.
