David Pollack asks for prayers as his wife faces a third surgery

Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive end and college football analyst David Pollack has shared an update on his wife Lindsey's health situation on social media. He reported that they received unfortunate news during a recent medical appointment. Lindsey, who has previously been diagnosed with brain cancer and has undergone multiple surgeries, now requires a third surgery.

David emphasized that they were fortunate to have the surgery scheduled during a bye week for their son, Nicholas, who is set to play college football at an ACC university. Lindsey's surgery is anticipated to take place around Friday, September 25, coinciding with North Oconee's bye week. North Oconee is currently holding a 4-1 record at the beginning of the 2026 high school football season.

Despite her current weakness, David and Lindsey remain steadfast in their faith, believing that their "God isn't weak." David has invited prayers from anyone who wishes to offer them. In March, David announced that his wife had been cancer-free after battling the disease for over a year. David Pollack has personal experience with serious injury, having undergone a major surgery in 2006 to address a broken neck sustained during his NFL career.

This injury ultimately led to his retirement from professional football. While covering college football for On3 following his time at ESPN's College GameDay, David and Lindsey have received support from many individuals during this challenging period. They also co-founded The Pollack Foundation, which aims to enhance the lives of families in the Atlanta and Athens areas of Georgia.
