Dafeamekpor questions items required in fresh SHS students’ prospectus

Majority Chief Whip and South Dayi MP, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has raised questions about the necessity of certain items listed in the prospectuses of newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students. In a recent post on X, the legislator expressed concern over the financial implications these requirements have on parents. He pointed out that the prospectus, a source of worry for many families, places a significant financial burden on them.

"Honestly, must a fresh SHS Student present all these listed items to school as a freshman or woman?" Dafeamekpor queried. He further explained that this financial strain is often shouldered by Members of Parliament (MPs), who are tasked with supporting their constituents with such expenses annually. The issue has gained attention as families grapple with the costs associated with preparing their children for admission into SHS, as outlined by the schools' prospectuses.
